At the last minute, Farming Like Grandad 2024 looked in doubt because of forcast heavy rain. However was too late to cancel so went ahead anyway. As it turned out, some large rainfalls nearby, but the event venue missed most of it until late afternoon. Although some exhibitors cancelled at last minute, many hardy souls turned out for an enjoyable event day. This years show continued to showcase exhibits of craft, shearing, milking, butter making, old cars, old and new machinery. The Rotorua Axemen returned to exhibit there chopping and handsawing skills.
